sunny california

Hello Family and friends,
I am now in sunny Callifornia! well Callifornia at least. :) My first area is Loomis 1st ward, in the Lincoln Stake. And my Trainer is Sister Mitchell. I love the area so far, the ward is great, and the people are so good! I am trying to get used to everyone having dogs, and cats, because that is new for me. The weather has been good, chilly some days, but overall nice. Thanksgiving was really good! one of the ward members, a single woman with no children at home, had us over for a huge dinner. It was so so good! and then we were sent home with the leftovers, which we barely have the room to keep becasue we are fed all the time! My first sunday here was great! I really like it out here! I hope everything is great at home! Love you all!

personal message from Lisa

Hello all,
Happy Tuesday! I feel like I have been here for ages, but it hasn't even been quite two weeks. Weird. I will be leaving the MTC next Tuseday morning, and I am so excited to get into the field! I will miss my zone here though, we have a really great group! I feel like I have learned a lot here, but I am sure there will be a lot to learn in CA. :) but I love it! and I miss you! Hope everything is great!

Love,
Sister Lisa Garfield

Lisa in the MTC

Hello everybody! We have started this web log to document and keep everyone posted on Sister Lisa Ann Garfield's Roseville, California mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Lisa entered the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo,Utah on Wednesday November 2nd just ONE day after her 22nd birthday!  We received our first update yesterday and we're happy to hear that Lisa is LOVING her time at the MTC.  She is adjusting well to having a companion by her side at all times and says that her district family is amazing, she already feels so close to them. She was sure to mention that the food is good and that she has alot to learn before she is completely comfortable with teaching.  We (her family and friends) are so proud of her for choosing to serve a mission.  Please follow Lisa here on BLOGGER and offer your LOVE, SUPPORT and COMMENTS!  You can write to Sister Garfield directly at;                                                                                              SISTER LISA ANN GARFIELD
